The IamExpat Fair is an international one-day event designed to connect and support the expat community in the Netherlands. Find expat-friendly services and businesses, learn from experts at our free workshops, and connect with other internationals at the IamExpat Fair.
There is a limited quantity of free tickets available for the IamExpat Fair! After which, IamExpat Fair tickets will be 2-for-1 for a limited number of days before the price goes up to 5 euro online, or 10 euro at the door (prices excl. VAT).
Yes. General Entrance tickets to the IamExpat Fair are available for 10 euro at the door. However, tickets are available for 5 euro online before the IamExpat Fair on October 11, 2025. Get your tickets to the IamExpat Fair today!
Children under the age of 18 can attend the IamExpat Fair without registering for a ticket. We encourage families to check out the Family & Kids area while attending the IamExpat Fair, or play together in the Kids Area.
No. IamExpat cannot write a letter of invitation for visitors to attend the IamExpat Fair from abroad. We recommend that you check out the links below to see if one of these visa types may be helpful for you.
IamExpat asks visitors for personal information such as country of origin, current city, etc., so that we can tailor our exhibitors, workshops, and special offers for visitors at future Fairs. IamExpat does not share visitor information without their consent.
Yes, visitors have the option to pay with cash or debit cards (aka pinpas) at the IamExpat Fair. Credit cards can only be used to purchase the General Entrance tickets online.
Yes, garage parking is recommended if you plan to drive to the Grote Kerk. The closest garages are (in order of proximity):

Yes, there is a cloakroom at the IamExpat Fair. The cost of the cloakroom is 2 euros per item.
Yes, food and drinks will be available for purchase at the IamExpat Fair. Visitors can find coffee and tea, as well as lunch items, in the food area.
No. Companies that don’t have a stand at the IamExpat Fair cannot distribute promotional materials of any kind at the IamExpat Fair. If you are interested in booking a stand, or presenting a workshop, please get in touch with the IamExpat Fair team.
You can register online for each workshop of interest once the programme is announced. You can also register at the entrance to the workshop, but be warned that visitors who have registered beforehand get priority and spots fill up quickly. The workshop programme will be announced in August 2025, and more workshops are continuously being added to the programme.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee workshop seats for late arrivals. This also applies to visitors who’ve registered for the workshop. That is why we encourage attendees to arrive at the workshop location 15 minutes before the start of the session.
Please arrive at the workshop location 15 minutes before the start of the session. Workshop seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
IamExpat prepares a full roster of workshops throughout the day. As a result, some workshops may overlap in the schedule. If you are interested in attending two workshops at the same time, we recommend that visitors check for alternative workshops on the same topic scheduled at a different time.
Visitors who’ve missed a workshop they were interested in can also visit the presenter’s stand before or after the workshop to discuss the topic in more detail.

The Career Section of the IamExpat Fair is recommended for job-seekers who already have a valid visa and permission to legally work in the Netherlands.
Yes, there is a Kids Area at the IamExpat Fair. Families can play together and explore new toys in the Kids Area hosted by Zein International Childcare. We also encourage parents to check out the Family & Kids area while attending the IamExpat Fair.
Dogs are only permitted in the Grote Kerk venue if they are on a leash.
Yes, it is possible for IamExpat Fair visitors to leave the venue temporarily and come back in. Make sure you have your Fair ticket handy so that you can show the IamExpat team when you walk back into the IamExpat Fair.
The doors to enter the IamExpat Fair close at 4:30pm. The IamExpat Fair ends thirty minutes later, at 5pm.
